Outsourcing Small Business questions HELP?
My small business is selling vegan, vegetarian and cruelty free makeup brands and such. I need help with these questions. I would not be selling overseas, unless it’s over the internet. I also would not be having it produced in another country. Here is the question.

Do I need to pay VAT to India Company for Services?
Our UK based company is outsourcing some software development work to an India company. They ask us to pay 17.5% VAT on the top of their Standard rate, even they are not registered in UK. Is that fair? Any legal requirement for that? Thanks.
